Mr. Nkathazo Johannes Radebe is currently employed as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Accounting at Walter Sisulu University. He is a member of the Department’s Management Team and the Section Head of Taxation. He joined the Institution at the beginning of 2013 and has served the Department in various positions, including that of the Department’s Operations Manager and Acting HOD. Over and above his career in Academia, Nkathazo has served as a Director for SnB Advisory Services (Pty) Ltd, a sister company to SnB Chartered Accountants Inc.
Nkathazo is also a Director of the Source Youth Organization, a registered Non-Profit Organisation whose main object is youth empowerment. He is currently enrolled for a BSc in Information Technology degree with North-West University. Nkathazo is a registered chartered accountant with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants, qualified in 2012 after serving his learnership with Ernst & Young Advisory Services Limited (now known as ‘EY’) for 3 years.
Nkathazo holds a Bachelor of Business Science Degree in Management Sciences (with a Finance Specialization) and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Accounting, both from the University of Cape Town. During his stay at the University of Cape Town, Nkathazo held various positions, including a treasurer of SciSoc, an organization that mentored and tutored secondary school pupils in Khayelitsha, Nyanga, Langa and Mowbray.
